在接受本地媒体访问时，林树杰说，将尽量减少砍树，而首长说所有被砍的树将重新种植新树。

我的问题是：

一、他们是否知道新树要长多久才足以取代原有老树？

二、他们是否知道这些树在我们的祖父母时代种植，是无价的？

三、他们是否知道这些树非一般路边种植的树木，反之却是充满历史及文化遗产价值？

四、砍树是否已违反了宣称对环境友善的PGCC计划？

When asked by local chinese newspaper recently, Datuk Lim said that they would try to cut as few trees as possible while CM said that all the trees cut would be replaced by new ones.

My questions are :

1) Do they know that how long would the new trees take to grow as mature as the current ones?

2) Do they know that all those tress are priceless as they grow together with us since our grandparents' time?

3) Do they know that all those trees are not any ordinary trees planted by the roadside, but they are full of historic and heritage values?

4) Doesn't cutting the trees violate the concept of PGCC which is said to be environmental-friendly?
